Are You Staying Hydrated?

Toned babes,

This is the most critical time to stay hydrated. It is so easy to be at home and hours pass as we binge watch tv, forget to eat meals, and just snack on junk food all day. I mean isn’t that the whole point of weekends? Well now that our weekends have become our week days, it is still extremely important to monitor your water intake.

If you didn’t know, the two most common body water imbalances are dehydration which is too little water in the body and hyponatremia which is too much water relative to body sodium concentrations. 

 Water is an essential part of life and extremely important on your fitness journey. If you didn’t know, on average we lose water through sweating, respiration, and excretion. Adding fitness and exercising into it of course speeds up the process. Without the proper water balance,  you can develop cramps, dizziness, dry mouth, and overall fatigue. 

Ways that water fuels your body: 

  1. Carries nutrients and oxygen to cells

  2. Protects body organs and tissues

  3. Helps dissolve minerals and other nutrients 

  4. Helps prevent constipation 

We recommend drinking a half gallon a day for those starting their fitness journeys and recommend an entire gallon a day for those who have been committed to their goals.
